What should the first drop include?

One or two designs on a tee and a hoodie. That is enough to learn whether the audience buys and which design they prefer, without splitting attention across a catalogue nobody has asked for yet. Adding a cap is cheap and often outsells expectations. A twelve-item first drop almost always underperforms a two-item one.

How should it be priced?

Against comparable creator merch rather than against a cost-plus calculation, then check the margin holds. Bulk tiers apply automatically at twenty or more of the same item, so if you do choose to hold stock for a launch the cost drops before you set the price. Do not price at the bottom of the market - creator merch sells on connection, not on being the cheapest hoodie available.

Why should the first drop be small on purpose?

How does bulk pricing work?

It applies itself in the cart. Twenty or more of the same item takes 20% off, fifty takes 25%, and two hundred takes 30%. There is no quote form, no promo code and no sales call - the cart is the quote, so you can see the final per-piece number before anyone pays. Because these are print-on-demand costs rather than screen-printing setup, the discount is an honest reduction on the listed price instead of a marked-up retail figure being walked back.
