Every store remembers its first sale. Ours happened to be the design that says the quiet part out loud: a skeleton mid-kickflip over stone letters, with I LOVE YOU MOM written across the clouds.
Why a skeleton, why Mom
The design started as a contradiction we couldn't stop thinking about: the hardest-looking art in our catalog carrying the softest message anyone ever says. Streetwear spends a lot of energy looking tough. But everybody — the skater, the vet, the firefighter, the guy at the gym — has a mom they'd run through a wall for. Putting that sentence in the sky above a kickflipping skeleton felt more honest than either half alone.
DreamToMerch is a veteran-owned, family-run studio. The people who built this store are sons first. That design was never market research; it was just true.
The first order
When the store went live, the first paid order that ever came through wasn't the flagship summer graphic or the safest bestseller-shaped tee. It was the Mom design. A stranger on the internet looked at a skeleton doing a kickflip under a love note and said: that one. We printed it for them — one shirt, made to order — and packed the first box this company ever shipped.
That order set the bar for everything we make now: art bold enough to stop a scroll, with something real underneath it.
Where the design lives now
