An all-over-print shirt has the design printed edge to edge, across the front, back and sleeves. It is made by printing flat fabric panels first, then cutting and sewing them into the garment. The result is bold, full coverage that a regular printed shirt cannot do. It also comes with a few honest quirks worth knowing before you order. Try one: all-over-print tee or all-over-print cotton hoodie.
How it is made
Most all-over-print garments use a polyester-blend fabric. The design is printed onto the fabric with heat, which bonds the dye into the fibers. That is why the colors are vivid and the print has no feel at all. You cannot feel where the ink is. Cotton all-over-print pieces are also available, printed onto cotton panels before sewing, for people who want a classic cotton feel.
What to expect
- Vivid color that does not crack or peel, because it is part of the fabric.
- A smooth, light feel on polyester pieces, closer to a sports jersey than a cotton tee.
- Small seam gaps. Where panels are sewn together, the pattern may not line up perfectly, and tiny white lines can appear at seams or under the arms. Busy patterns hide this. Large solid shapes that cross a seam show it most.
- Colors stay bright through washing. Polyester holds dye very well.
Designs that work best
Repeating patterns, camo, textures, gradients, tie-dye looks and full-scene illustrations all work well. A single big logo centered on the chest works, but a regular printed shirt does that more cheaply. All-over print earns its price when the whole garment is the design.
Avoid putting important details, like a face or text, right on a seam or under an arm. Keep them in the middle of the front or back panel.
The file you need
All-over-print designs are large. Each panel needs high-resolution artwork, and the builder shows the panel layout. For a repeating pattern, you only need one tile, and the pattern fills the rest. All-over print or regular print?
- Choose all-over print for edge-to-edge patterns, jerseys, camo, loud streetwear and festival looks.
- Choose a regular printed tee for a logo or graphic on a solid shirt, a classic cotton feel, and the lowest price. The classic tee starts at $24.99.
Care
Wash cold, inside out. Skip bleach. Low heat or hang dry. The print itself will not crack, so care is about keeping the fabric in shape.

Is there really no minimum?
None. One piece is a real order at normal pricing, with no small-order surcharge and no setup or digitizing fee. Every piece is made to order and ships in about 5 to 9 business days, and that window is the same for one piece or a few hundred. On eligible garments, volume pricing applies automatically once you order enough of the same item, usually starting around 25 pieces.

Frequently asked questions
What is an all-over-print shirt?
A shirt with the design printed edge to edge, made by printing fabric panels first and then cutting and sewing them together.
Do all-over-print shirts crack or peel?
No. On polyester pieces the dye bonds into the fibers, so there is no layer to crack.
Why are there white lines at the seams?
Panels are printed before sewing, so small gaps can show at seams and underarms. Busy patterns hide them best.
Are all-over-print shirts cotton?
Most are a polyester blend. Cotton all-over-print pieces are also available for a classic feel.
What designs work best for all-over print?
Repeating patterns, camo, textures and full-scene illustrations. Keep faces and text away from seams.
Is there a minimum for all-over-print shirts?
No. One piece is a normal order.
